momentToday as you continue to honor yourself and to mindfully engage in self-love, try to practice being in the moment. Every time you can remember, clear your thoughts, let go of the mind chatter, and focus on the task at hand.

You could begin by paying attention as you brush your teeth, and by actually feeling the brush touch the teeth and being aware of the movements you make. The same thing could be applied to getting dressed and preparing breakfast. If you need to walk up or down the stairs, focus on the steps, the body movement, the weight shifting from one foot to the next, the energy within your body, without thinking about where you are going, your next appointment, or what you are going to do later. Simply be in the moment. This mind shift into the moment could make a big difference in your energy, stress level, inspiration, and focus.

After you finish each task that you choose to be mindful about, analyze how you did. Were you able to be in the moment while brushing your teeth, getting dressed, walking down the stairs, or did you only do it for a moment, and then moved on to think about your day or your worries?

It is good to practice being in the moment with small tasks at first, and then expanding it throughout the day. Let me know how it goes for you.
